Measuring depopulation in Hong Kong with Immigration Data | 20 July 2021I used web-scraping, to obtain data from the Hong Kong Immigration Department's website and analysed time series trends. Through this I gauged the magnitude of the influxes and outfluxes of the Hong Kong population in the years 2020-2021.

Using deep learning to diagnose Chest X-raysThis was a project that was part of the 'Artificial Intelligence for Medical Diagnosis' deeplearning.ai course I took. I trained a deep neural network on Chest X-ray images to try and diagnose what diseases the patient may have.
Technologies and relevant packages: Python, Pandas, Tensorflow, Keras
Skills: Deep learning, transfer learning, convolutional neural networks on images
Predicting the likelihood of a person having heart failure would be extremely valuable to the medical field as early diagnosis would enhance the possibility of sound recovery. An XGBoost model was used to model whether a person would suffer from fatal heart failure and an F1-score of ~73% was consistently achieved.
Technologies and relevant packages: Python, Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn
Skills: Data analysis, Machine Learning, Model selection, Hyperparameter optimisation
🥼 Featured: Physics Lab Project
Interferometry/ Spectroscopy Correction Algorithm | 6 Nov 2020This was a Year 2 Physics Laboratory extension where we experimented with an inteferometer, which is an instrument capable of using light to measure lengths on the order of its wavelength. I developed an algorithm to correct for the jitter caused by mechanical movement of a mirror. This was compared against the known emission spectrum of Mercury.
Technologies and relevant packages: Python, Numpy, Seaborn
Skills: Experimentation, Data Analysis, Algorithm Development

Hard-Sphere Thermodynamics SimulationThis was a Year 2 Physics project that involved developing a versatile Python thermodynamics simulation in the object-oriented-programming regime. 'Measurements' were taken inside the program and compared to ideal theoretical predictions.
Designing an Analogue Computer to Simulate a Car Suspension | 6 May 2020Working with my lab partner in the Advanced Electronics course, we used operational amplifier circuits to electronically simulate a car suspension, which was modelled as a second-order differential equation.
⚙️ Featured: macOS Plugin Project
cyclTracker Plugin for Santander bikes | 26 March 2021I used the xbar application framework to create a plugin for macOS that shows the number of parked London Santander cycles in specified docking stations. This personal project has been very useful for myself as I commute by bike!
Technologies and relevant packages: xbar, Python, json
Skills: Coding, API access
